Leicester & Northants Frequently Asked Questions
Little Kickers is a fun, structured football programme for children aged 18 months to 8 years. Our focus is on “Play not Push” – helping children build confidence, coordination, and social skills through football-based activities.
We run four classes tailored by age and development stage:
- Little Kicks: 18 months – 2.5 years
- Junior Kickers: 2.5 – 3.5 years
- Mighty Kickers: 3.5 – 5 years
- Mega Kickers: 5 – 8 years
Due to popular demand & a number of our classes operating at full capacity with waiting lists we are only able to offer free trial classes at specific venues (subject to availability).
However, if a free trial at your preferred venue is not available we offer a money back guarantee: we will refund your full fee if you do not enjoy the first class providing you notify us via email within 48 hours of attending.
Please keep in mind that we believe children learn through play & at their own pace. Don’t be surprised if they don’t fully engage for the duration of their first class. With support & encouragement from parents & coaches we will get them there!
Simply click the link on our page to see which venues have free trials available. Then complete the form with your contact details and we will be in touch to confirm class details and your trial date.
Our classes are £36.50 per month, paid via a simple recurring subscription (similar to a gym membership).
There is also a one-off £23 membership fee, which includes your child’s first football kit.
Do I have to commit long-term?
No long-term contract—just a 30 days’ written notice required if you wish to cancel.
In order for us to manage class capacities we don’t offer pay-as-you-go sessions, as your place is reserved each week.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Missed classes are non-refundable, but we’ll always try to help with:
- A catch-up session (subject to availability), or
- A send-a-friend option
Both must be booked in advance via email: [email protected]
My child is shy—will they be okay?
Absolutely! It’s very normal for children to take a few weeks (often 3–4) to settle in. Our coaches are experienced in helping every child feel comfortable, included, and confident at their own pace.
Do parents stay during the session?
Yes—for our younger classes (Little Kicks & Junior Kickers), parents or carers join in the session.
For older groups, children become more independent while parents watch from the side.
Comfortable clothes and trainers are perfect to start. Once registered, your child will receive their Little Kickers kit as part of the membership fee.
For Mighty Kickers and Mega Kickers we would recommend shin pads too.
Are classes indoors or outdoors?
All of our venues operate indoors; however, there may be periods in the year when classes are held outdoors. We will always do our best to notify you in advance when this is the case.
Do you run during school holidays?
Yes—we run year-round, including most school holidays, with only a few short planned breaks across the year.
What skills will my child learn?
Our sessions develop much more than football skills, including:
- Confidence
- Coordination
- Teamwork
- Listening and concentration
- Social skills
- Independence
Children work towards badges, awarded regularly to celebrate their development and achievements—something they absolutely love!
Yes—all our coaches are:
- Enhanced DBS checked
- Safeguarding trained
- Experienced in working with young children
Most importantly, they bring energy, care, and fun to every session.
We run classes across Leicester & Northants, including:
Kettering, Corby, Desborough, Foxton, Fleckney, Oadby, Braunstone, Evington and Leicester City
