Gloucestershire Frequently Asked Questions

What is Littlekickers?

Little Kickers is a fun, structured football programme for children aged 18 months to 8 years. Our focus is on “Play not Push” – helping children build confidence, coordination, and social skills through football-based activities.

What age range classes do you offer

We run four classes tailored by age and development stage:

  • Little Kicks: 18 months – 2.5 years
  • Junior Kickers: 2.5 – 3.5 years
  • Mighty Kickers: 3.5 – 5 years
  • Mega Kickers: 5 – 8 years

Do you offer a free taster session?

Yes! We offer one free trial session (subject to availability) so you and your child can meet the team and experience a class before committing.

How do I book a free taster session?

You can fill out the form on this website or simply email us at [email protected] with:

  • Your child’s full name and date of birth
  • Your preferred venue and date
  • Your contact details

We’ll confirm availability and book you in

How much do your classes cost

Our classes are £30.50 per month, paid via a simple recurring subscription (similar to a gym membership).

There is also a one-off £24 membership fee, which includes your child’s first football kit.

Why is the monthly cost always the same

Some months you will have 4 sessions and some months you will have 5.

For example, if your billing date is the 8th:
You may have 4 sessions between 8th April and 8th May
But 5 sessions between 8th May and 8th June

The monthly price remains £30.50. Over the year, this balances out so you receive the correct number of sessions overall.

Do you charge during closures

Yes, and here’s why.

We have 3 planned closures each year: Easter weekend for weekend classes, weekday classes close during our annual conference (dates TBC), October half term weekend/week  and 2 weeks at Christmas.

We do not refund or reduce payments for these closures because across the year, some months include 5 sessions instead of 4.

These extra sessions balance out the weeks where classes do not run, meaning everything evens out over the year.

What is the minimum sign up period ?

When joining there is a minimum membership of 2 months.

What happens if I miss a class ?

Missed classes are non-refundable, but we’ll always try to help with:

  • A catch-up session (subject to availability), or
  • A send-a-friend option

Do parents stay during the session ?

Yes—for our younger classes (Little Kicks & some Junior Kickers), parents or carers join in the session.
For older groups, children become more independent while parents watch from the side.

What should my child wear to the session

Comfortable clothes and trainers are perfect to start. Once registered, your child will receive their Little Kickers kit as part of the membership fee.

Are classes run indoors or outdoors ?

We offer a mix of indoor and outdoor venues across Gloucestershire, so classes run all year round—whatever the weather.

Our Pates Grammar classes move outside from Late May to middle of June  due to exams at the school, and then move outside throughout end of July to early September.

Our Thursday morning classes at Abbeydale community centre move outside from early June through to September.

Do you run through school holidays ?

Yes—we run year-round, including  school holidays, with only a few short planned breaks across the year, which are communicated in good time to all customers.

Can my children start at anytime of the year

Yes! Your child can join Little Kickers at any point during the year—we don’t operate around traditional school terms.

Our programme runs continuously year-round, so you can start whenever it suits you, and your child will simply join the class and settle in at their own pace.

How do you see development in your kickers ?

Children work towards badges and certificates every 12 weeks to celebrate their development and achievements—something they absolutely love!

Our sessions develop much more than football skills, including:

  • Confidence
  • Coordination
  • Teamwork
  • Listening and concentration
  • Social skills
  • Independence

How does my child move up a age range ?

Speak to your coach or email us at [email protected]. Moves are based on readiness and availability. We will always confirm in writing when your child will move up.

How do I receive my Littlekickers kit ?

Your kit will be sent via Evri after your first payment has been processed, the kit usually take 5 working days to be delivered to the address used when registering with Littlekickers.

What is the cancellation policy ?

Cancellations require 30 days’ written notice to [email protected], as outlined in our Terms & Conditions. This means a further payment may be taken during this notice period (and adjusted if necessary).

Once your final payment has been processed, we will close your account and confirm your child’s last class date.

If you decide to return in the future, you’ll be very welcome to rejoin; subject to availability; without needing to pay the membership fee again, either with us or at another Little Kickers franchise.
