Don’t leave at 5! Little Kickers launch Mega Kickers Programme for children aged 5+

Since its launch in 2002, Little Kickers has grown dramatically and classes are now attended by 7,000+ pre-schoolers a week. Our programmes are specifically designed by qualified coaches and childcare specialists to provide children with a fun, positive introduction to sport.

To date, approx. 20,000 children have experienced Little Kickers and we’ve received much positive feedback. We’re keen to ensure that as many children as possible continue to play football and benefit from the positive introduction to sport that Little Kickers has provided them with. Many parents ask us where their children can continue to build on the introduction Little Kickers has given them with once their children turn 5.

We have spent a lot of time and effort developing links with local clubs, plus some better known national ones (Coerver, Chelsea FITC, Reading FITC) to ensure that our Little Kickers are able to continue refining their skills in an environment where fun is the number one priority, but where other important issues such as health and safety, child protection, professionalism etc are not compromised.

The feedback we have received from parents, however, is that in a number of areas classes for 5+ children are not available, or do not correspond to what they are looking for. As a result of this, we are pleased to announce the birth of Mighty Kickers’ big brother, Mega Kickers!

Mega Kickers is a programme designed for children aged 5 and 6 which complements the LK “play not push” ethos and builds upon the experiences the children have gained previously. That’s not to say that children who have never attended Little Kickers are not welcome – we’re always delighted to welcome new faces and help children build their confidence – and maybe even contribute to improving the fortunes of future England squads!
